From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, antisera exports fell remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 199% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 58% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, antisera imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 33% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2021, Singapore (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of antisera to Australia, with a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, antisera imports from Singapore exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, New Zealand (X tons), threefold. Japan (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 3.6% share.

In 2021, the average antisera import price amounted to $X per ton, waning by -23.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 6.2%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per ton), while the price for New Zealand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
