In value terms, fluoropolymers imports expanded to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of fluoropolymers to Australia, with a 60% share of total imports. Moreover, fluoropolymers imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the United States (X tons), with a 5.7% share.
