The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +44.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 47%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

China (X tons), India (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of manganites, manganates, molybdates and tungstates imports to Australia, together comprising 98% of total imports.
