From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, radar apparatus exports contracted sharply to $X in 2021. In general, total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the United States totaled +16.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+21.7% per year) and New Zealand (+17.4% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average radar apparatus export price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 51% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 91%. The export price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Brunei Darussalam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Australia
In 2021, approx. X tons of radar apparatus were imported into Australia; increasing by 11% against the year before. In general, imports, however, showed a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 52%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, radar apparatus imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine-year period. In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest radar apparatus supplier to Australia, accounting for a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, radar apparatus imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), fivefold. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 6.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Germany totaled +19.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+5.4% per year) and the United States (-16.7% per year).

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from the United States stood at +4.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+21.7% per year) and Spain (+19.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average radar apparatus import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 17% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, radar apparatus import price increased by +23.3% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 58%.
