The United States (X tons), New Zealand (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main destinations of sunflower-seed and safflower oil exports from Australia, together comprising 94% of total exports. Vanuatu, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore and Fiji lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 6%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Vanuatu (with a CAGR of +28.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Fiji ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, Argentina (X tons) constituted the largest sunflower-seed and safflower oil supplier to Australia, with a 59% share of total imports. Moreover, sunflower-seed and safflower oil imports from Argentina exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (X tons), threefold. Ukraine (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.6% share.
