In general, exports continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 89% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, breathing appliances exports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 118% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Switzerland (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main destinations of breathing appliances exports from Austria, with a combined 38% share of total exports. Slovenia, Hungary, Argentina, Qatar, Canada, Poland, Croatia, Denmark, the UK and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 49%.
