Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, acyclic hydrocarbons derivatives imports fell dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 66%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of acyclic hydrocarbons derivatives to Austria, accounting for a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, acyclic hydrocarbons derivatives imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Poland (X tons), with an 8.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany stood at -2.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-6.9% per year) and Poland (+133.5% per year).
