In 2021, Belgium (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of inulin to Austria, with a 64% share of total imports. Moreover, inulin imports from Belgium exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Belgium amounted to +3.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (-2.8% per year) and Germany (+4.3% per year).
