Italy (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of maize imports to Austria, together comprising 72% of total imports. Spain, Poland, Belgium and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +19.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($X per ton) and Germany ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) and Italy ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
