The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds dropped to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 48%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Germany (X tons), Spain (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of imports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds to Austria, with a combined 60% share of total imports.
