In value terms, desktop computer exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 1,091% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

The UK (X units) was the main destination for desktop computer exports from Azerbaijan, with a 75% share of total exports. Moreover, desktop computer exports to the UK exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kyrgyzstan (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X units), with a 3.8% share.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest desktop computer supplier to Azerbaijan, with a 87% share of total imports. Moreover, desktop computer imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), more than tenfold. South Korea (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +29.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+63.9% per year) and South Korea (+16.7% per year).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 69% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
