The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -14.0% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 41%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, polyvinyl chloride imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 45%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

Russia (X tons), Iran (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of polyvinyl chloride imports to Azerbaijan, with a combined 90% share of total imports.
