Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, silicone imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 120%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of silicone to Azerbaijan, accounting for a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, silicone imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates (X tons), with a 7% share.
