Ukraine (X kg) was the main destination for wallpaper exports from Azerbaijan, with a 56% share of total exports. Moreover, wallpaper exports to Ukraine exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (X kg), twofold.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Ukraine was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (-22.1% per year) and Georgia (-14.0% per year).

In 2021, the average wallpaper export price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 25% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 136% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+13.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Azerbaijan
Wallpaper imports into Azerbaijan amounted to X tons in 2021, picking up by 14% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 118% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, wallpaper imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 410% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

China (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of wallpaper imports to Azerbaijan, together accounting for 82% of total imports.
