The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 151% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Saudi Arabia (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Qatar (X tons) were the main suppliers of hot-rolled steel bar and rod imports to Bahrain, together comprising 95% of total imports. Oman, India, Turkey and Free Zones lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.2%.
