Imports into Bangladesh
Blueberry and cranberry imports into Bangladesh fell dramatically to X tons in 2022, reducing by -42.8% against the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 4,203% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, blueberry and cranberry imports reduced markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 1,296%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the Netherlands (X kg) constituted the largest supplier of blueberry and cranberry to Bangladesh, accounting for a 21% share of total imports. Moreover, blueberry and cranberry imports from the Netherlands exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Canada (X kg), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates (X kg), with a 4.5% share.
