In general, exports, however, showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 357% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then fell remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, carrot and turnip exports shrank notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 547% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Singapore (X tons) was the main destination for carrot and turnip exports from Bangladesh, accounting for a 22% share of total exports. Moreover, carrot and turnip exports to Singapore exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, India (X tons), more than tenfold.
