Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, durum wheat imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a modest increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 74%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

Australia (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of durum wheat imports to Bangladesh.
