Overall, imports saw a moderate expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 229% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X litres in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 390% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

South Korea (X litres), Cyprus (X litres) and Singapore (X litres) were the main suppliers of non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports to Bangladesh, with a combined 39% share of total imports.
