In value terms, non-household fan exports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The United States (X units) was the main destination for non-household fan exports from Bangladesh, with a 47% share of total exports. Moreover, non-household fan exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (X units), more than tenfold. Malaysia (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 0.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the United States amounted to +67.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+47.3% per year) and Malaysia (+3.1% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for non-household ventilation fans exports from Bangladesh, comprising 49% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 0.8% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with less than 0.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to the United States amounted to +58.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+58.1% per year) and Malaysia (-12.2% per year).

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 77%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+14.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Bangladesh
In 2022, approx. X units of non-household ventilation fans were imported into Bangladesh; falling by -25.6% on the previous year. In general, imports, however, showed a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 105% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-household fan to Bangladesh, accounting for a 45% share of total imports. It was followed by Malaysia (X units), with a 0.4% share of total imports. India (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 0.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +4.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (-4.7% per year) and India (-18.6% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of non-household ventilation fans to Bangladesh, comprising 25% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with a 1.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 1.1% share.

In 2022, the average non-household fan import price amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -2.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 53% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
