Papaya Market Size in Bangladesh

In value terms, papaya exports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by 103%. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The UK (X tons), Ireland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main destinations of papaya exports from Bangladesh, together comprising 70% of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 972% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, papaya imports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a prominent expansion.
