Russia (X units) was the main destination for non-electric air heater exports from Belarus, accounting for a 84% share of total exports. Moreover, non-electric air heater exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X units), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Poland (X units), with a 1.6% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Russia stood at +4.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (+40.8% per year) and Poland (+92.0% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for non-electric air heaters or hot air distributors exports from Belarus, comprising 60% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ukraine ($X), with a 29% share of total exports. It was followed by Poland, with a 7.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia stood at +3.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (+51.3% per year) and Poland (+106.5% per year).

The average non-electric air heater export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, dropping by -5.3% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-electric air heater export price decreased by -34.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 36%. In 2022, purchases abroad of non-electric air heaters or hot air distributors increased by 46% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, total imports indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, non-electric air heater imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a slight expansion. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Russia (X units) constituted the largest supplier of non-electric air heater to Belarus, with a 42% share of total imports. Moreover, non-electric air heater imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), twofold. Ukraine (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 17% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Russia stood at +5.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-0.6% per year) and Ukraine (+33.8% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X), Poland ($X) and Ukraine ($X) constituted the largest non-electric air heater suppliers to Belarus, together accounting for 73% of total imports.
Ukraine, with a CAGR of +35.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average non-electric air heater import price amounted to $X per unit, surging by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 32%. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
