For the third year in a row, Belarus recorded decline in purchases abroad of amine-function compounds, which decreased by -12.9% to X tons in 2021. Overall, imports faced a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 7.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, amine-function compounds imports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 7.4%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Slovakia (X tons), China (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main suppliers of amine-function compounds imports to Belarus, together comprising 63% of total imports.
