In 2021, Austria (X tons) constituted the largest artificial staple fibre supplier to Belarus, with a 62% share of total imports. Moreover, artificial staple fibre imports from Austria exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Lithuania (X tons), with a 5.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Austria amounted to +40.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+42.5% per year) and Lithuania (-2.4% per year).
In value terms, Austria ($X) constituted the largest supplier of artificial staple fibres to Belarus, comprising 81% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a 6.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Austria stood at +56.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+42.4% per year) and Lithuania (+14.4% per year).
