Ukraine (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main destinations of glass bottle, jar and container exports from Belarus, together accounting for 58% of total exports. These countries were followed by Russia, Latvia, Germany and Estonia, which together accounted for a further 38%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of +35.1%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Belarus
In 2021, the amount of bottles, jars and other containers of glass imported into Belarus reduced modestly to X units, approximately reflecting the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a noticeable setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 20% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, glass bottle, jar and container imports dropped to $X in 2021. In general, imports saw a noticeable decline. In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of bottles, jars and other containers of glass to Belarus, comprising 66% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ukraine ($X), with a 14% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Russia was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ukraine (-14.8% per year) and China (+19.7% per year).
