Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cherry and sour cherry exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 287% against the previous year. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 282% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cherry and sour cherry imports expanded to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 162% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Moldova (X tons) constituted the largest cherry and sour cherry supplier to Belarus, accounting for a 37% share of total imports. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Moldova stood at +4.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ukraine (+29.7% per year) and Poland (-5.2% per year).

The average cherry and sour cherry import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -5.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 21% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per ton), while the price for Moldova ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lebanon (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
