In value terms, electric oven and cooker production declined dramatically to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production, however, recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the production volume increased by 99% against the previous year. As a result, production reached the peak level of $X. From 2015 to 2022, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, shipments abroad of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters decreased by -52.5% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, exports saw a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 135%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports reduced sharply to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 59% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then plummeted in the following year.

Russia (X units) was the main destination for electric oven and cooker exports from Belarus, with a 95% share of total exports. It was followed by Ukraine (X units), with a 1.7% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (-1.7% per year) and Kazakhstan (-11.2% per year).

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports from Belarus, comprising 92% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ukraine ($X), with a 3% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Russia totaled +7.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (+6.8% per year) and Kazakhstan (+9.1% per year).

The average electric oven and cooker export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 95%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Belarus

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters decreased by -5.2% to X units in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 87%. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 24%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

China (X units), Russia (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the main suppliers of electric oven and cooker imports to Belarus, with a combined 93% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +20.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters to Belarus, comprising 75% of total imports.
