Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 18%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-corrugated paper box imports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 17%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-corrugated paper box imports to Belarus, with a combined 83% share of total imports. China and Turkey lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Turkey (with a CAGR of +42.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
