Golf Equipment Market Size in Belarus

In 2022, the Belarusian golf equipment market was finally on the rise to reach $X after two years of decline. In general, consumption showed a buoyant expansion. Golf equipment consumption peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X units) was the main destination for golf equipment exports from Belarus, with a 85% share of total exports. Moreover, golf equipment exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X units), sixfold.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia totaled +16.1%.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for golf clubs and other golf equipment exports from Belarus, comprising 87% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 12% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia amounted to +13.8%.

The average golf equipment export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 2.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Poland totaled $X per unit.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (-2.0%).

Imports into Belarus

After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of golf clubs and other golf equipment increased by 21% to X units in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 115% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, golf equipment imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 244%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Russia (X units), China (X units) and Pakistan (X units) were the main suppliers of golf equipment imports to Belarus, together accounting for 78% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Pakistan (with a CAGR of +57.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
