Chicken Egg Market Size in Belarus

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, chicken egg exports contracted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +35.6% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 73%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for chicken egg exports from Belarus, with a 89% share of total exports. Moreover, chicken egg exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kyrgyzstan (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Kazakhstan (X tons), with a 2.8% share.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, chicken egg import price increased by +38.6% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 70% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton, and then declined sharply in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
