After two years of decline, purchases abroad of hygienic or pharmaceutical articles of rubber increased by 23% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, pharmaceutical rubber articles imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a slight shrinkage. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Ukraine (X units), Russia (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main suppliers of pharmaceutical rubber articles imports to Belarus, with a combined 92% share of total imports.
