In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 297%. In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) to Belarus, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 21% share of total imports. It was followed by Russia, with a 20% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China stood at +6.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (-12.0% per year) and Russia (+23.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average import price for internal combustion engines, excluding diesel (other than for motor vehicles and aircraft) amounted to $X per ton, growing by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 207% against the previous year.
