Russia (X tons) was the main destination for jam, jelly, puree and paste exports from Belarus, with a 89% share of total exports. Moreover, jam, jelly, puree and paste exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Russia stood at +5.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (-2.9% per year) and Moldova (-2.6% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for jams, jellies, puree and pastes exports from Belarus, comprising 88% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 7.2% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Russia stood at +4.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (-5.5% per year) and Moldova (-5.4% per year).

Imports into Belarus
In 2021, purchases abroad of jams, jellies, puree and pastes increased by 32% to X tons, rising for the seventh year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 71% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, jam, jelly, puree and paste imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded buoyant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) constituted the largest jam, jelly, puree and paste supplier to Belarus, with a 81% share of total imports. Moreover, jam, jelly, puree and paste imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Ecuador (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Chile (X tons), with a 2.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Russia totaled +31.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ecuador (+9.8% per year) and Chile (+27.5% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of jams, jellies, puree and pastes to Belarus, comprising 68% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ukraine ($X), with a 7.4% share of total imports. It was followed by Ecuador, with a 2.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Russia amounted to +24.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Ukraine (+74.8% per year) and Ecuador (+5.6% per year).
