From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (-5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Belarus
In 2021, supplies from abroad of malt (not roasted) increased by 6.2% to X tons, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, imports posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 826% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, malt imports expanded markedly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 516% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Russia (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of malt imports to Belarus, with a combined 87% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belgium (with a CAGR of +93.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X), Belgium ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the largest malt suppliers to Belarus, with a combined 88% share of total imports.
Belgium, with a CAGR of +91.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
