In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens, when their volume decreased by -30.1% to X units. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 174%. The exports peaked at X units in 2021, and then shrank notably in the following year.
In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace exports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 598%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
Exports by Country
Russia (X units) was the main destination for non-electric industrial furnace exports from Belarus, with a 66% share of total exports. Moreover, non-electric industrial furnace exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Uzbekistan (X units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Saudi Arabia (X units), with a 2.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Russia stood at +35.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+15,600.0% per year) and Saudi Arabia (+0.9% per year).
In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X) remains the key foreign market for non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens exports from Belarus, comprising 64% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a 30% share of total exports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 5.4% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Saudi Arabia totaled +23.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (+68.4% per year) and Uzbekistan (+16,464.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average non-electric industrial furnace export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, waning by -12.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 342%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+24.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Belarus
Non-electric industrial furnace imports into Belarus surged to X units in 2022, growing by 28% on the previous year. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 1,815% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, faced a dramatic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 2,008%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Ukraine (X units), Russia (X units) and France (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric industrial furnace imports to Belarus, with a combined 42% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by France (with a CAGR of +1.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), Germany ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) constituted the largest non-electric industrial furnace suppliers to Belarus, together comprising 65% of total imports.
Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +8.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average non-electric industrial furnace import price amounted to $X per unit, jumping by 53% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed notable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 614%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per unit), while the price for Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
