From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia stood at +26.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the United States (+126.6% per year) and Germany (+49.6% per year).

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Belarus
Nucleic acid imports into Belarus contracted slightly to X tons in 2021, with a decrease of -2.8% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports recorded a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 119% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, nucleic acid imports shrank to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -28.7% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 65% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of nucleic acid to Belarus, with a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, nucleic acid imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X tons), fourfold. Russia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at -10.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (-3.3% per year) and Russia (+24.4% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), India ($X) and Russia ($X) constituted the largest nucleic acid suppliers to Belarus, together comprising 80% of total imports.
India, with a CAGR of +63.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average nucleic acid import price amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -11.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 93%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($X per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
