As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, exports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses rose rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 52%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for exports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses from Belarus, with a 95% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X tons), more than tenfold.

Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses stood at $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 41%. Imports peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

China (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of imports of other plastic tubes, pipes and hoses to Belarus, together accounting for 71% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by China (with a CAGR of +32.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
