The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 267% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry exports declined slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 173%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry exports from Belarus, accounting for a 84% share of total exports. Moreover, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia totaled +17.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+3.2% per year) and Lithuania (-0.4% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries exports from Belarus, comprising 89% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Lithuania ($X), with a 5.6% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia amounted to +20.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lithuania (-3.7% per year) and Poland (-1.5% per year).

In 2022, the average export price for raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries amounted to $X per ton, almost unchanged from the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2021, and then fell slightly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Belarus
In 2022, the amount of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries imported into Belarus surged to X tons, with an increase of 56% against 2021 figures. Overall, imports showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 303% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports posted a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 498% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
Lebanon (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry imports to Belarus, together accounting for 89% of total imports. Spain and Peru lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 5.9%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Peru (with a CAGR of +90.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry suppliers to Belarus were Lebanon ($X), Ukraine ($X) and Poland ($X), together accounting for 78% of total imports. Spain and Peru lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 14%.
Peru, with a CAGR of +91.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average import price for raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and cranberries amounted to $X per ton, declining by -8.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 49%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Peru ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
