Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-reinforced rubber tubing exports declined rapidly to $X in 2021. In general, exports recorded a noticeable decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by 206%. The exports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Russia (X tons) was the main destination for non-reinforced rubber tubing exports from Belarus, with a 89% share of total exports. Moreover, non-reinforced rubber tubing exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Russia amounted to -5.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (+25.5% per year) and Kazakhstan (-10.0% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for rubber tubing not reinforced exports from Belarus, comprising 75% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ukraine ($X), with an 8.4% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Russia amounted to -2.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ukraine (+16.7% per year) and Kazakhstan (-10.5% per year).

In 2021, the average non-reinforced rubber tubing export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 83% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate perceptible growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 95%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Belarus
In 2021, supplies from abroad of rubber tubing not reinforced decreased by -17.1% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 32%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-reinforced rubber tubing imports rose to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Russia (X tons), China (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-reinforced rubber tubing imports to Belarus, with a combined 71% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Ukraine, Germany, Poland, the United States, Lithuania and Turkey, which together accounted for a further 21%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Turkey (with a CAGR of +36.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of rubber tubing not reinforced to Belarus, comprising 39% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with an 8.9% share.
