Imports into Belarus

In 2021, full-rotation excavator imports into Belarus rose modestly to X units, surging by 1.6% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 178% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, full-rotation excavator imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 193%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Russia (X units), the UK (X units) and Japan (X units) were the main suppliers of full-rotation excavator imports to Belarus, with a combined 43% share of total imports. Germany, Austria, South Korea, China, the Czech Republic, France and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +29.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
