In value terms, wood tool exports stood at $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 3,337%. The exports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for wood tool exports from Belarus, with a 93% share of total exports. Moreover, wood tool exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Lithuania (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia totaled +37.8%.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the key foreign market for tools of wood exports from Belarus, comprising 80% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Lithuania ($X), with a 12% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Russia stood at +20.4%.

In 2021, the average wood tool export price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, faced a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 43%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia totaled $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (+24.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Belarus
For the tenth consecutive year, Belarus recorded growth in purchases abroad of tools of wood, which increased by 8.5% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports saw a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 51% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, wood tool imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 37%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Russia (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of wood tool to Belarus, with a 79% share of total imports. Moreover, wood tool imports from Russia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), sixfold. Poland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Russia amounted to +27.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+28.0% per year) and Poland (-7.0% per year).
In value terms, Russia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of tools of wood to Belarus, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Sweden ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by China, with a 6.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Russia amounted to +18.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Sweden (-7.9% per year) and China (+13.0% per year).

The average wood tool import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, faced a abrupt descent. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
