The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 1,820% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 168%. Imports peaked at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Italy (X square meters) constituted the largest silk fabric supplier to Belarus, accounting for a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, silk fabric imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X square meters), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by China (X square meters), with a 15% share.
