In general, exports continue to indicate a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 597% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, exports saw a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 390%. Russia (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units) were the main destinations of exports of wrist-watches, pocket-watches, stop-watches and other watches; with case of precious metal or of metal clad with precious metals from Belarus, together accounting for 99% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of 0.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline.

In 2021, the amount of wrist-watches, pocket-watches, stop-watches and other watches; with case of precious metal or of metal clad with precious metals imported into Belarus skyrocketed to X units, picking up by 27% compared with the year before. Overall, imports, however, saw a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 210%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports of remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, imports of wrist-watches, pocket-watches, stop-watches and other watches; with case of precious metal or of metal clad with precious metals skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a dramatic setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 227% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Russia (X units) was the main wrist-watches, pocket-watches, stop-watches and other watches; with case of precious metal or of metal clad with precious metal supplier to Belarus, with a 95% share of total imports. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while the price for Russia totaled $X per unit.
