In 2021, the Belgian diode market decreased by -32.3% to $X, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. Overall, consumption, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 586% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X units) constituted the largest supplier of diode to Belgium, with a 75% share of total imports.
