In value terms, diode imports declined slightly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 586% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X units) constituted the largest supplier of diode to Belgium, with a 75% share of total imports. Moreover, diode imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), eightfold.
