France (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and China (X units) were the main destinations of industrial robot exports from Belgium, with a combined 58% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Germany, the UK, the United States, India, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Australia, Brazil and Luxembourg, which together accounted for a further 33%.

In 2021, the average industrial robot export price amounted to $X per unit, falling by -10.3% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, industrial robot export price decreased by -11.3% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 55% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to India ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+16.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, approx. X units of industrial robots for multiple uses were imported into Belgium; with an increase of 39% against 2020 figures. In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +56.3% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 63% against the previous year. In value terms, industrial robot imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. Imports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X units) constituted the largest supplier of industrial robot to Belgium, accounting for a 58% share of total imports. Moreover, industrial robot imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), fivefold. The Netherlands (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.3% share.
