In 2022, the amount of shuttering for concrete constructional work, shingles and shakes, of wood imported into Belgium totaled X tons, picking up by 6.4% on the previous year. In general, total imports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -5.9% against 2020 indices. Germany (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of fromwork imports to Belgium, with a combined 80% share of total imports. Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Canada lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +573.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the price for Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
