Costa Rica, Egypt, South Africa, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Democratic Republic of the Congo, the UK and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.

The average textile tubing export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, jumping by 93% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, textile tubing export price increased by +119.0% against 2020 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Costa Rica ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Belgium
In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing, when their volume decreased by -27.5% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 89% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, textile tubing imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed temperate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 110%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest textile tubing supplier to Belgium, accounting for a 51% share of total imports. Moreover, textile tubing imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X tons), with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +3.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+26.2% per year) and Germany (+9.9% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Germany ($X) were the largest textile tubing suppliers to Belgium, together comprising 76% of total imports. The Czech Republic, Denmark, Portugal, the United States and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
Denmark, with a CAGR of +317.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average textile tubing import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 50%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while the price for Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+8.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
