The Netherlands was also the fastest-growing in terms of the artificial fur exports, with a CAGR of -3.2% from 2012 to 2022. Belgium (-5.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of the Netherlands increased by +4.3 percentage points.

In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) remains the largest artificial fur supplier in Benelux, comprising 96% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belgium ($X), with a 4.2% share of total exports.

In value terms, artificial fur imports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 76% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
