Ceramic Tile Market Size in Benelux

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +70.3% against 2013 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, ceramic tile imports contracted modestly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +60.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 18% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Benelux amounted to $X per square meter, which is down by -9.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the import price increased by 8.1% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per square meter. From 2014 to 2022, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Luxembourg ($X per square meter), while the Netherlands ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Luxembourg (+0.8%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
