Chicory Market Size in Benelux

In 2021, the Benelux chicory market decreased by -0.4% to $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, consumption, however, continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, consumption remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, chicory exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 1,351% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2021, the export price in Benelux amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 2.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt downturn.
